Best Designs - Linac900Ext7Xc2

After a break of several months, the latest entry in the video stable comes from Linac900Ext7Xc2. Started in February, and closed in October, it had the third highest number of simulations returned in recent times.

The best design was 4.142452% by 1 27972 - A Yoyo@home Boinc Wrapper user.

Time for the first 2012 lattice, with one of the two that replaced Linac900Ext10tc2, and Linac900Ext9X. As has been common with the Ext series, it's about trying to force new discovery paths.

This lattice used a7-block system, and the 'c2' double-phase system.

What makes this lattice special is that in the 10 months since it started, it returned more simulations than almost any other, but managed almost 10% greater MPTS than ANY other lattice. This just shows how modern computers have come along.

While this lattice was officially closed in October, we gave it an extra 6 weeks, just to be sure there were no new results saved in a mega-flush, or otherwise delayed getting here.

The search space is in the 10249 range with 83 parameters. The lattice showed a two-stage growth pattern.

The X in the lattice name, replaces the t and also indicates extended time, but also marked it as lattice that required v4.45 at minimum.

This is the 'best' design as recreated in v4.45. The original simulation length as recorded was 94 minutes 55 seconds.
